Dr. Alfred. F. Fasola PhD, MD

March 29,1919 to August 31, 2014

Dr. Fasola was married to Esther Katherine Kenner November, 1945. He is survived by his loving wife, their two sons, Alfred F Fasola, Jr. and Robert T. Fasola; and also three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1941-1945, where he was Honorably Discharged as a Captain in Counterintelligence and awarded the Bronze Star at the Battle of the Bulge.

Dr. Fasola graduated from Oberlin College in 1948, receiving a PhD in Physiology and an MD from Ohio State University before serving his internship and a residency at General Hospital in Indianapolis.

He had a 30 year career at Eli Lily as Senior Clinical Pharmacologist specializing in research in aerospace medicine, cardiology, hypertension, and respiratory disease.

Dr. Fasola studied music under Dr. Mulholland at Butler University for twenty years and was a dedicated student of the arts and sciences his entire life.

He was a faithful parishioner of Saint Luke's Catholic Church and left a legacy of God, family, country and community.

Friends and family are invited to gather to celebrate the life of Dr. Fasola on Saturday, September 6, 2014 from 7:00-7:30 p.m., with a service following at 7:30 p.m. at the Leppert Mortuary- Nora Chapel , 740 E. 86th Street, Indianapolis.
