Allen R. Cochran

Age 71, of Dayton OH, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014. He leaves behind a loving wife, Joan, who he shared 51 years of marriage and 57 years of his life. He was born in Indianapolis, IN on August 15, 1942 to the late Benjamin and Florence (Pfeiffer) Cochran. Allen was a graduate of Southport High School and Purdue University, worked in pharmaceutical sales with Eli Lilly & Co. for thirty years, and retired from his self-started company Actimune. He was actively involved in Centerville Evening Optimist and dedicated many years as a coach and organizer of the Soccer Association for Youth.

He is survived by his sister, Barbara Farley (James); sisters-in law, Evelyn Knapp and Karen Weber (Marc); sons, Timothy Cochran (Lisa), Rochester, MI, and Kevin Cochran (Melissa), Corpus Christi, TX; four grandchildren, Lauren and Eric (Tim) and Benjamin and Dylan (Kevin); and a host of other family and friends. The Visitation will be on Friday, February 21, 2014 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11:30 a.m. at Church of the Incarnation 7415 Far Hills Ave. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
