Ann Heidenreich Reel

89, passed away January 20, 2014. She was born April 27, 1924, in Indianapolis, the daughter of Irvin and Evelyn Heidenreich. She married Leonard R. Reel, Jr. "Frenchy" on June 1, 1946.

Ann graduated in 1942 from Shortridge High School, then attended Indiana University, and the Laboratory School of Merchandising in New York. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi. Over the years, Ann had worked as a fashion coordinator for J.P. Allen, Wm. H. Block, H.P. Wassons and The Gazebo.

Her many interests included tennis, bridge, dancing, arm wrestling, fashion, and people. Her family will remember Ann: great lady...great life...great legacy.

She is survived by her children, Leonard (Patty) Reel III, Billy (Sally) Reel, Jody (Jim) Davis; grandchildren, Holly Vance (Anthoney) Moorman, Tony Vance, Bo Reel, Leonard Reel IV, Amy Reel; great grandchildren, Jeremy and Kendall Moorman; sisters, Jean Ann (Tom) Campbell, Sue (Chuck) Johnston, and Carol (Ed) Sherwood. She was preceded in death by her husband "Frenchy" Reel; two brothers, Dr. Irvin Heidenreich, Jr. and Hubert Heidenreich; and granddaughter, Katy Reel.

The family would like to thank the special people that loved and cared for Ann: Pam, Patty, Jill, Jamie, and Kidist.

A memorial service will be Saturday, February 1, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Tabernacle Presbyterian Church, 418 East 34th Street. A Celebration of Life will follow at 12 noon at the Marten House, 1801 West 86th Street.
