Betty Lou Walsman

88, Indianapolis, passed away on March 10, 2014 surrounded by family members, when the angel came to take her to be with her Heavenly Father and her husband, Judge Robert Cole Walsman, whom preceded her in death in January, 1997. Betty was born October 14, 1925. She was a longtime member of Second Presbyterian Church and active leader in Women's Association. A graduate from Indiana University with a Master's in Education, she taught at Southport High School and Broad Ripple High School. She left a wonderful legacy of three children and their spouses, Rob and Connie Walsman, Larry and Emily Sault, and David and Susan Rexroth; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Second Presbyterian Church at 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2014. Visitation will be held at 3 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: Good Samaritan Fund of the Family Life Center at Second Presbyterian Church, 7700 N. Meridian St.
