Charles F. Brown
96, of Indianapolis, passed away June 15, 2013. He was born July 27, 1916 in Indianapolis to the late Charles R. and Goldie Holland Brown.
Charles was a 1935 graduate of Shortridge High School. He was employed with Allison Division of General Motors during WW II. He then was employed with several car dealerships and was later employed by the National Automobile Association as a district sales manager for 37 years, retiring in 1991. Charles was a member of the Murat Shrine, 500 Club; Scottish Rite and was a 60 year member of the Charles F. Frank Masonic Lodge, F. & A. M. #760.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel , 9606 E. Washington St., with visitation one hour prior.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Shirley K. Brown; children, Charles M. Brown (Karen), Donna E. McCandless, Paula J. Hansen (Barry), Linda Dugan, and Gene Cottone (Nanrita); nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his three sisters, Martha McAuley, Virginia Csetenyi and Mildred Ludlow.
