David L. Isler

89 of Holland, Michigan, formerly of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at home in Freedom Village. He was born Nov. 2, 1924 in Marion, IN to the late Raymond E. and Rosalea Smith Isler.

He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. David earned a Bachelor's Degree from Indiana University where he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He worked thirty-seven years in the family business, Atkinson & Company, with his step-father W. Linton Atkinson, and later retired from Duke and Associates as Vice President, Human Resources. While he was in Indianapolis, he was an active member of Northminster Presbyterian Church, where he was an Elder. He enjoyed riding as a member of the Traders Point Hunt Club.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Suzanne; children David F. (Joyce) Isler of Columbus, OH; Mary Ann (Bryant) Eckert of West Olive, MI; granddaughters, Renee Isler of Davie, FL and Erin (Mike) Basgier of Champaign, IL.

A private memorial service will be held in Indianapolis at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Northminster Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis.
