Donald O. Kleine

Passed away January 27, 2014 after a lingering illness. He was born January 2, 1928 to the late John E. and Emma Bakemeier Kleine.

Don was a graduate of Warren Central High School. He proudly served his Country in the Army during the Korean War. He was employed by Indiana Bell Telephone for many years.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his first wife, S. Lucile; his second wife, Rosemary and his brothers, Earl and Carl "Doc."

Surviving are his step-sons, Sherm (Ruth) Smith and Dave (Dawn) Smith; step-grandchildren, Jamie, Rich, Ronnie, Don, David, and Doug; many step-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Terri (Thomas) Jordan, Kurt (Amy) Kleine, Scott (Karen) Kleine, Ric (Peg) Kleine, and Becky Stamps; sister-in-law, Doris and many other relatives and special friends. He also dearly loved his devoted canine family Satch, Rags, Schatzy, Carla, Gigi, and Snowball.

Please remember Don for his kindness, generosity, and helpfulness. The family wishes to thank the staff at Kindred Health Care in Greenfield for their loving care and kindness.

The family is being served by Flanner and Buchanan - Washington Park East , 10722 E. Washington Street. In honoring Don's wishes, there will be no services. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Indianapolis or Purdue University Veterinary Hospital.
