Donna Lynne Lowery

Passed away on July 20, 2014 at age 56.

She was born in Indianapolis on May 10, 1958 to Robert and Kathleen Albers. Donna graduated from Ben Davis High School and then attended Indiana University studying early childhood development. She worked as a medical transcriptionist for many years.

From a young age she easily made friends and was known for her wry sense of humor. No one stayed around her for too long without cracking a smile and having a great time.

On her serious side, she was a lover of books, animals, children, her family and friends and her precious little dog ChiChi. She was very nurturing when it came to giving to others, most recently providing tremendous assistance and help to her parents for which her family will be forever grateful.

In addition to her many friends and loved ones, Donna is survived by her parents and her sister, Susan Albers.

Services will be held on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Avon United Methodist Church, located at 6850 E. US Highway 36 in Avon, Indiana. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 24 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Conkle Funeral Home, Avon Chapel , 76 North State Road 267, Avon, at the corner of Rockville Road. Interment will be in West Ridge Park Mausoleum.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to "Why Not Today," an organization working to provide food and fresh produce to food pantries, of which Donna was a member.
