Edward Morris Sadler

51, of Indianapolis, Indiana, beloved Father, Brother, Uncle, went on to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 3, 2013, after a tragic church van accident. Ed was born in Indianapolis on May 1, 1962 to Albert and Mary Sadler and was the youngest of nine children. Ed attended Harcourt Elementary School; Westlane Jr. High School and graduated from North Central High School in Indianapolis (1980). Ed also attended Indiana University, Bloomington and he graduated from I.U.P.U.I. with a B.S. in General Studies. He was employed by Ryder Logistics and FED- EX Indy. He was also a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.

Ed was dependable, a Christian and loved people. Ed's life revolved around his love of God, first and foremost; his large Family, and his many Friends. Ed was a man who loved nice cars, was an excellent driver and a sharp dresser. He was active in his church, Jesus House of Prayer Temple Church Apostolic, which was founded by his mother, Pastor Mary S. Sadler. He was also the church bus driver, prayer band leader and a Deacon. Ed will be remembered, with the greatest Love. Ed was blessed with a wonderful smile and witty sense of humor. He will be cherished and missed forever, and his immense heart will be his eternal legacy. God must have needed Ed to come home because he allowed him to sacrifice his life to save the lives of numerous others on the day he passed.

Ed is survived by and will be forever missed and loved by his daughters Ashlee and Lexus; his brothers, Thaddeus (Chuck) Hart, Albert (Chico) Sadler, David Hart; his loving sisters, Willa Hart, Sylvia Hart, Joan Pettis and Faye Dinkins; his niece, Vanessa Powell and nephew, Xavier Porter to whom who he was very close. Ed also leaves a host of nieces and nephews and cousins. Ed was preceded in death by his parents Albert C. Sadler, Sr. and Pastor Mary S. Sadler; brothers James E. Hart, Sr., Will K. Hart, Jr., Jerry M. Hart, Sr., Michael J. Hart and sister, Delores Sadler.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and funeral 12:00 - 2:30 on Saturday, November 9, 2013, at Christ Church Apostolic, 6601 Grandview Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46260. Arrangements entrusted to Bluitt and Son Funeral Home .
