Deacon Floyd L. Shanklin, Jr.

85, of Indianapolis, passed way on March 29, 2014.

He was the widower of Beulah Bell Grayson Shanklin. He was employed by General Motors Truck and Bus. Deacon Shanklin was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist church where he served as Deacon.

Services will be on Saturday, April 5 at 12 p.m. at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with visitation on Friday, April 4 from 4 p.m .until 8 p.m. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, son, Michael Shanklin; daughters, Jennifer Shanklin Crutchfield, Janet Shanklin Crenshaw, Lisa Shanklin, and Nina Shanklin Carter; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Luvenia Hilliard and Lacy Drain Bell.
