Gary William Bechtel

Passed away on August 17th at his home in Fishers, Indiana. Gary was born on June 4th, 1932 in Oil City, PA. His parents were the late Mary Joyce and William Theodore Bechtel.

Gary served in the Army Special Forces. He was an engineering graduate of Purdue University and retired after 36 years from Western Electric/AT&T/Lucent and was a member of the Lucent Retiree Organization. For years he was a member of SPEBSQSA singing Barbershop harmony.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Janice; his two daughters, Kathy (Dave) Statler and Tamara (John) Karr; five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Judy Turner and Susie Bechtel-McCollum, and three brothers,Ted, Charles and Lee Bechtel.

The Celebration of Life Service will be held at Grace Community Church, 5504 East 146th Street, Noblesville, IN 46062 on Saturday, August 30th at 11:00am.
