Harley D. Bartley

86, of Indianapolis, passed away April 22, 2014. He was born July 12, 1927 in Tompkinsville, KY, to the late Oscar and Lee Ann Petett Bartley. Harley proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was employed with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs as a Chiller Plant Operator and a member of South Keystone Church of Christ.

Visitation will be Friday, April 25, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel , 9606 E. Washington St. with funeral services Saturday at 12 noon.

Harley is survived by his longtime companion, Wilma Prewitt; children, Ann (Steve) Feldman, Sue Choate, Darlene Prewitt and Doug (Mary) Prewitt; stepson, Gary Prewitt; sister, Runelle Taylor; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Jo Beam; a son, Chris Bartley; two stepdaughters, Connie Johnson and Sandra Prewitt, and former wife, Ernestine Moore, preceded him in death. http://www.shirleybrothers.com.
