Harry V. Courtney

Passed away on June 24, 2013 at the age of 83. He graduated from Ben Davis High School in 1948. He worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield for over thirty-five years. Harry was a Korean War veteran with over fifty years of military experience (U. S. Army Command Sergeant Major). He earned numerous medals during his military time. He was also a fifty plus year member of the Free and Accepted Masons. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Arnola Seaton Courtney. He will be missed by his family including his brothers, Ron Courtney (Marsha), Don Courtney (Bettie), and Buster Courtney (Terry), as well as numerous nephews and nieces. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2013 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home , Plainfield, with burial to follow with military rites in Spring Hill Cemetery, Cartersburg. Viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service in the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, KS 66675.
