Mrs. Henri C. Bluestein
72. Indianapolis passed away on March 20, 2014.
The last surviving of her siblings, she was the daughter of Mack, Sr. and Margaret Hall. She completed her education in Nashville, having graduated from Pearl High School, earning a bachelor degree from Tennessee State University and a masters degree from Vanderbilt University.
An educator in the Gary, IN public schools for five years, she retired from Indianapolis Public School #55 in 1997 after teaching for 34 years. Over the years she earned numerous awards and she was loved by her peers and students.
On Friday, March 28, there will be visitation from 10am-12pm with Celebration of Life service at 12pm at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 3500 Graceland Avenue with entombment at Crown Hill. There will be an Alpha Kappa Alpha Ivy Beyond the Wall Ceremony at 11:30 A.M.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 32 years, Havard Bluestein; sisters-in-law, Sherlee Butler and Diana Ashurst, and a host of nieces and nephews.
