John A. "Jack" Young

85 passed July 6, 2014, with family by his side. Jack was born in Wausau, Wisconsin on Oct. 2, 1928. He graduated from Wausau High School, and continued his education at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point where he played football. Young was a member of the alumni association at Stevens Point for the remainder of his life. He was a Korean War veteran serving in the Central Intelligence Agency. After his service, Young moved to Indianapolis where he completed law school at Indiana University. He had a life long career in law working with Rocap, Rocap, Reece, & Young and his own firm John A. Jack and Associates. He served as in-house attorney for the Financial Center Federal Credit Union for most of his life. He was also named one of the Top Personal Injury lawyers of 1997 in Indianapolis Monthly. Jack also had a passion for soaring through the clouds in his archer. He was an avid Colts fan and rarely missed an Indianapolis 500. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, and will be greatly missed by all. He was preceded in death by Andrew and Helen Young (parents), Andrew (Jim) brother, Clark Young (son). He is survived by wife Dolores Young, and children Andee Reese, daughter, Tracy (Tom) Pelton, daughter, Bradley (Connie) Young, son, Meredeth (Jeff) Weaver, daughter. Sister Kay (Vern) Utecht, niece Jolene (Bob) Plautz, nephews Todd, Doug, and Chris Utecht, grandchildren Mckenzie, Tommy, Katelyn, Riley, Aiden, Logan, and great grandson Hunter. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Leppert Mortuary and Crematory Services .
