Jacqueline G. Vukovits Obituary

Jacqueline "Jackie" G. Dale Vukovits

82, of Indianapolis, passed away March 20, 2013. She was born October 23, 1930, to the late Gregory and Opal Winhorst Dale.

Jackie was a graduate of Arsenal Tech High School, where she was a proud member of the "WE-BE-GE"'s, and she received her Bachelor's Degree from Indiana University. She married Frank S. Vukovits, Sr. on April 30, 1966, and he preceded her in death December 16, 2012. Jackie was employed in the banking industry for over 20 years, retiring from Banc One Investment Advisors as Assistant Vice President in 1995. She was quite proud of her early career in banking, but chose to take a break and raise her children, before returning twenty years later to the industry. She was a longtime member of St. Matthew Catholic Church, and a past member of Fall Creek Elementary School and Eastwood Jr. High School PTOs. Over the years Jackie enjoyed trips with the Indianapolis ski club where she met her husband, planning Tech reunions, cheering on IU basketball, playing in the neighborhood bridge club, and in her later years vacations to Myrtle Beach and spending time with the grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 24, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Fishers-Castleton Chapel , 9900 Allisonville Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Church, 4100 E. 56th St., Indianapolis, IN, 46220.

Jackie is survived by her children, Frank S. Vukovits, Jr. (Ashley) and Tina D. Johnson (Randy); and grandchildren, Stephen, Austin, Andrew and Morgan. An infant brother, Gregory Francis Dale, Jr., preceded her in death.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew Catholic Church.
