James Earl Brock

age 90, of Crown Point, IN, formerly of Indianapolis, IN passed away June 30, 2014. He was born July 4th, 1923 in Freetown, IN. He served in the 20th Air Force during WWII. He was a Combat veteran and was awarded the Purple Heart and Air Medal. He received a Bachelor's Degree from Indiana University and a Master's in Education from Butler University. He taught school in Indianapolis for 37 years, teaching at Bluff Avenue School, IPS School No. 65, and Wanamaker and Acton Elementary Schools. He was a member of Southport Heights Christian Church. He is survived by his son, John (Karen) Brock of Crown Point. Funeral Service July 3, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Freetown Church of Christ, 7707 State Rd 135, Freetown, IN. with Rev. Barry Dewitt officiating. Interment at Freetown Cemetery, Freetown, IN. Friends may visit with the family from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service. http://www.burnsfuneral.com
