James H. Schaefer

72, of Indianapolis, passed away June 5, 2014. He was born May 27, 1942 to the late Raymond and Verna Bernice (Rozell) Schaefer. Jim served his country in the U.S. Navy.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Patricia Schaefer; daughters, Kelly Schaefer, Kim Cunningham (Larry Blankenship) and Kristine Sizelove (Jason); siblings, Terry Fraley, Raymonda Howard and Gary Schaefer; sister-in-law, Ronnette Schrock; nieces, Paulette and Nikki; and beloved dog, Booker T. A brother, Raymond E. Schaefer, preceded him in death.

Jim was a welder retiring from Chrylser and General Devices. He was a member of American Legion Post #495 and Moose Lodge #17. He enjoyed watching westerns on Encore, reading books on his Kindle and playing golf on the Wii.

Visitation will be Monday, June 9, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel , 9606 E. Washington St.
