James Richard House
87, of Mooresville, passed away on March 3, 2014. James was born to James Morton and Anna Corine (Robinson) House on Feb. 1, 1927 in Vincennes. James was a 1944 Lincoln High School Graduate and received his Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from Purdue University. James was a Navy Veteran during World War II.
James was a salesman for Kittles in Indianapolis for 15 years, retiring in 2003. Previously, he was a salesman for L.Fish in Indianapolis for 10 years and a engineer for Zenith & General Electric for several years. He lived most of his life in Indianapolis, but also lived in Mooresville and his birthplace of Vincennes. He was a member of the Vincennes Knights of Columbus.
James is survived by his daughter, who cared for him in his later years, Beth (John) Wooding of Mooresville; his three grandchildren he was very proud of, Sean, Danielle and Evan and a sister, Martha Flannery of CA. James was preceded in death by his parents, James Morton and Anna Corine (Robinson) House and two sons, Dan and David House.
Father John Schipp will officiate the 3 p.m. graveside service on Friday, March 7, 2014 at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Vincennes, IN.
