Jerry Wilson Butrum
74, Indianapolis, passed away on Monday June 24, 2013. He was born in Lafayette, TN on April 7, 1939 to Ernest S. and Hazel Jent Butrum. Jerry served in the United States Marine Corps from 1956-58. He worked as a route salesman for Frito-Lay for over 20 years, before retiring in 1999. Jerry was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, VFW Post 8118 in Venice, FL, American Legion and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Esther Winifred Chrisman Diehl Butrum; sons, Kevin W., Duane A., and Darrel R. Butrum; step children, Terri L. Falvey, Thomas M. Diehl and Mary E. Gula; sister, Mary Evelyn Harth; half-sister, Carla Pierce; brother, Jack P. Butrum; half brother, David Smith; grandchildren, Lindsey N., Bailey N., Cora L., and Laura M. Butrum; step-grandchildren, Angela Connolly, Brian P. and Matthew T. Falvey, Moira and Joseph Gula; 4 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday July 1, 2013 at 11 a.m. in Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. in Daniel F.
