Jill Ann Ellis
38, of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2014, surrounded by her family. She was born in Oxford, Ohio, on October 25, 1975, to Richard and Barbara Ellis. Jill graduated from Franklin County High School in Brookville, Ind., and received her BA from Duke University in Durham, N.C. She received her JD from Indiana University School of Law - Bloomington and was employed as Chief Staff Attorney at the Indiana Court of Appeals in Indianapolis.
Jill was preceded in death by her grandparents, Felix and Rady Ellis, and by her grandfather, William Higgs. She is survived by her husband, Matt King; parents, Rick and Barb; sister, Megan Ellis; brother, Brad (Catrina) Ellis; grandmother, Alicia Higgs; two nephews; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of Jill's life will take place on Tuesday, February 4, at The Rathskeller's Grand Kellersaal, 401 E. Michigan Street, Indianapolis, IN, 46204. The celebration service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Friends and family are invited to gather from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.
