John E. Wilson

93, of Carmel, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2014 at his home. John was born May 26, 1920 in Fort Wayne to the late William Edward and Lucille Wilson. He was a 1943 graduate of Indiana University where he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. John served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

John was president of Wilson Partenheimer, Inc. from 1948 until his retirement. He was a founding member, elder and trustee at Orchard Park Presbyterian Church, and also served on the church building committee. He was a member of the Rotary Club of Carmel, a board member of the Boy's and Girl's Club of Indianapolis and a board member of the Friends of the Carmel Library.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 17 in Orchard Park Presbyterian Church. A Sigma Chi White Rose ceremony will follow the church service. Family and friends are invited to gather from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 16 in Flanner and Buchanan - Carmel .

John was the widower of Jane Winteringer Wilson. He is survived by his son, Tom (wife, Sandi) Wilson; granddaughter, Sara Jane Wilson; great-grandson, Logan Wilson; nieces, Sally Barton, Janet Meservy, Marie (husband, Noel) Wyatt; nephew, David (wife, Sheila) Crain; many great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jane Wilson Crain.
