Karen Lee Bowman-Wood

age 59, a resident of Coldwater, Ohio and a former Portland resident, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Celina Manor Nursing Home in Celina, Ohio. She was a graduate of Carmel High School, Indiana University School of Nursing, Ivy Tech, and the Wishard Paramedic program in Indianapolis. She was a LPN at Wishard and Randolph Co. Hospital.

Karen was born September 12, 1954 in Waverly, Indiana. Survivors Include: 1 son, Jason Petersen (wife-Leslie), Indianapolis, Indiana; 1 daughter, Amy Hudson (husband- Troy), rural Portland, Indiana; 7 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and 2 brothers, Michael Bowman, Indianapolis, Indiana and Jim Bowman (wife-Kim), Lebanon, Indiana.

A Memorial service to celebrate Karen's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 2, 2014 in the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Pastor Josh Huggett will officiate the services and burial will follow in the Center Cemetery, west of Portland. Visitation will be held from 9 -11 a.m., Saturday prior to the services at the funeral home.
