Lionel Bogan Ball, Sr.

84, Indianapolis, native of Gary, IN, passed away on June 12, 2014. He was a Korean War veteran of the United States Air Force. In 1977, after 20 years of service, he retired as a Lieutenant from the Gary Police Department.

On Thursday, June 19, there will be a Celebration of Life at 12 p.m. with viewing from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Covenant Community Church and interment at Washington Park Cemetery North. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 18 from 4-8 p.m. at Stuart Mortuary Chapel.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 52 years, Mildred Morgan Ball; daughter, Judith Thomas (Joseph); grandchildren, Whitney Morgan Ball, Lionel Bogan Ball, III, Antonio Robinson, Hannah Marie Thomas and Joseph Samuel Thomas and God-son, Blake Taylor. He was preceded in death by his son, Lionel Bogan Ball Jr.
