Lucy Blaase Mouser

passed away peacefully in her sleep among family March 27th, 2014. Born to Loren and Jane Blaase on July 8, 1954, Lucy was raised in Greenwood, IN and graduated from Greenwood High School and Purdue University.

While in high school, Lucy was a Flag Girl with the Marching Band, which was one of the first of many Greenwood Marching bands to place among the Sweet Sixteen in the state finals. She was also an honor student while earning numerous academic scholarships. While at Purdue, Lucy was a member of Chi Omega Sorority and participated in many campus activities.

Lucy and her husband of thirty-one years, Dennis, raised their children, Andrew and Carrie, in Brighton, Michigan where she enjoyed watching both children excel in numerous sports and school events. (She of course never bragged about them!) Lucy was also a proud and very involved member of the Brighton United Methodist Church after growing up in the Greenwood United Methodist Church, of which she was a life long member. She also enjoyed a long and successful career as a Realtor with Prudential where she won many awards and trips through the years.

Lucy was preceded in death by her dad, Loren Blaase; grandparents, Margaret and Frank McCormick; grandma, Cele; and grandpa, Pie Blaase. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Mouser; mother, Jane Blaase; children, son, Andrew Mouser (Teri), daughter, Carrie Sciberras; (Manny) and five grandchildren, Charlie, Oliver and Henry Mouser, Aaliyah and Aidan Sciberras; also her two brothers, Stan Blaase (Laura) and Doug Blaase (Lisa); three nieces and five nephews.

Most importantly of all, Lucy possessed a strong faith in Jesus Christ and dedicated her life toward serving him while helping others through her work in the church.

There will be a visitation at the Greenwood United Methodist Church, 525 Madison Avenue, Greenwood on Saturday, March 29th, from 9-11 a.m. followed by a service at 11 a.m.

The family has asked, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made in Lucy's name to either Greenwood United Methodist (Greenwood, IN) or Brighton United Methodist Church (Brighton, MI).

You are invited to read the obituary online at http://www.wilsonstpierre.com where you may sign the guest book or share a memory for the family.
