Mary M. Shuttleworth Grange
97, of Indianapolis, formerly of Auburn, AL, passed away December 30, 2012. She was born August 3, 1915, to the late Lowell Wilson and Nellie E. McManus Bell. An Indianapolis native, Mary was a graduate of Arsenal Tech High School, and she received her Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics from Purdue University.
Mary married W. Riley Shuttleworth June 14, 1937, and he preceded her in death April 27, 1991. She then married Arthur H. Grange in February of 1996, and he also preceded her in death October 3, 2003.
Mary was a teacher for Shortridge High School for 16 years. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church, and a former member of Tabernacle Presbyterian Church. She was the Executive Secretary for the Indiana Council of Family Relations, Pi Beta Phi, P.E.O., and the Athenaeum where her husband, Riley, was president. Mary resided in Auburn, AL for 25 years while her husband Riley, was a professor at Auburn University.
Mary is survived by her lovely daughters, Carol Dominianni (Samuel), Lucy Hart (Phillip) and Sue LeFevre (Thomas); grandchildren, Andrew (Erin) and David (Jennifer) Dominianni, Justin Mason (Jolynn), David LeFevre and Caroline LeFevre; great-grandchildren, Riley, Natania, Luke, Aaron, William, Alexander and Brynn. A sister, Gladys Galbreath, and a brother, Otho Bell, preceded her in death.
