Michael O. Hession

94, of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2014.

Mike worked as a pipefitter at Allisons, and previously as a plumber at Hession Plumbing Co.

Mike was a well decorated Army veteran of WWII. He served his country at Normandy, in Northern France; Ardennes; Rhindland and central Europe. Mike earned the EAME Theater Ribbon with Five Bronze Stars, an American Theater Ribbon; a meritorius unit award; a Victory Medal among other honors.

He was a lifelong member of St. Christopher's Catholic Church and an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and walking.

He was preceded in death by his spouse, Mary E. Blacker Hession; his parents Michael Hession and Madonna Hession Richardson; siblings Lawrence, John, and James V. Hession, and Veronica Born. He is survived by his sister Virginia Cavender, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosary will be said at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29th, at Conkle Funeral Home in Speedway. Visitation follows from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 30th, at St. Christopher's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
