Pamela S. Peterson

64, of Winchester, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at St. Vincent Randolph Hospital in Winchester.

She was born on August 30, 1949 in Indianapolis to the late Donald E. and Nadine J. (Donovan) Perin. She was a graduate of Howe High School in Indianapolis and received her Bachelor's Degree from Ball State University and her Master's Degree from Indiana University Purdue University in Indianapolis. Pamela retired after over 30 years as an elementary teacher from Greenfield Central School Corporation in Greenfield. She was a member of the Indiana Retired Teacher's Association, the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority, the American Business Women's Association (A.B.W.A.), the Tri Kappa Sorority in Winchester, the Randolph County Literacy Coalition, and the Y's Owls. Pamela enjoyed gardening, scrap booking and bowling.

Survivors include her daughter, Katie (husband Ryan) Barker of Winchester; a grandson, Mason Barker; a granddaughter, Molly Barker, both of Winchester; two aunts, Rosemary Brown of Winterhaven, FL and Lila (husband Sam) Burrell of Leesburg, FL.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home in Winchester with Pastor Danny Hines officiating. Friends and relatives may call from 3-6 p.m. at the funeral home on Friday.
