Patrick A. Johnson

72, of Venice, Florida, formerly of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2013. He was born in Patricksburg, Indiana, on August 29, 1941 the son of Cletus and Edgar Johnson. He was united in marriage to Dianne J. Johnson on April 19, 1975.

He is survived by his three daughters: Sindy (Joe) Micho of Belvidere, IL, Angela (Kevin) Norris of Bondurant, IA and Patricia (Jorge) Medina of Tacoma, WA; a brother, David Johnson; a sister-in-law, Carole Ringlespaugh; 13 grandchildren: Elizabeth, Andrew, Justun, Hannah, Rachael, Jared, Kendall, Kaytlin, Caleb, Brittany, Julian, Jonah and Olivia; and 4 great grandchildren: Amaya, Tierra, Tucker and Easton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dianne, his parents and 3 brothers.

Patrick graduated from Lawrence Central High School in 1959 and Purdue University in 1973.

He was a Vietnam Era veteran serving in the United States Air Force from 1963 to 1969.

He worked for Hooks Drugs as a computer programmer for many years.

Patrick was a long time member of the Indianapolis Corvette Club. He was also a lifetime member of the National Council of Corvette Clubs and most recently he was a member of the Glass Menagerie Corvette Club. He enjoyed racing as both a driver and a spectator and also had a love of NASCAR racing.

As was Patrick's wish, his body has been cremated and no services are planned. In the spirit of how he lived and loved, a celebration in remembrance of Patrick Johnson will be held on Saturday, December 28th from 5:00 - 7:30 p.m. at Three D's Pub and Café (formerly known as Mickey's) at 13644 N Meridian St., Carmel, IN.
