Phyllis Kathleen Catt Zerfas, M.D.

91, of Indianapolis, passed away July 19, 2014. The daughter of Arthur G. and Margaret F. (Marlow) Catt, Phyllis was born July 26, 1922 in Rensslaer. Phyllis and her late husband, Charles P. A. Zerfas, M.D. were family practice physicians for many years in the Garfield Park area. A graduate of the Indiana University School of Medicine, she was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Delta Gamma Sorority, Indiana Medical Association, Marion County Medical Society, National Rifle Association, a longtime member of the Republican Party and the Indiana University Alumni Association. Phyllis is survived by sons, David C. (Debra) and Bryan L. (Deedree) Zerfas; daughters, Rebecca A. (Timothy) Vancil and Suzanne K. (Thomas) Miller; four grandchildren, Timothy J. Vancil, Michael A. Zerfas, Caitlin M. Stephens (Richard) Braun and Laura E. Miller; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne and Gabriel Vancil and Sadie K. Braun. Memorial services 4:30 p.m. July 27, 2014 at Heartland Church - 9665 Hague Road.
