Robert David Kiley
Age 77, of Indianapolis, IN passed away Tuesday September 10, 2013. Bob was born to the late Roger and Helen (Hoffman) Kiley on September 30, 1935 in Indianapolis, IN. He graduated from Little Flower Grade School where he was given an Outstanding Alumni Award. He then attended Cathedral High School and graduated from Broad Ripple High School. Bob attended Indiana University and Butler University. He was very proud that he served as Corporal in the United States Marine Corps. He was President and General Manager of WIFE Radio for many years before he started Kiley Communications from which he retired. Bob was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Highland Golf and Country Club and their 435 Golf Group, and a 22 year member of The Junto of Indianapolis. He served on the '500' Festival as a Director and served on the steering committee for the Celebration of Catholic School Values with the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. Bob enjoyed playing golf, riding in his boat "Good Guy" around Lake Wawasee and driving his Corvettes. But most of all he was a fantastic father, husband, brother, son and grandfather. Bob married the love of his life, Lois Kett in 1958 who survives and for whom he spent more than 55 years with. His children are: Greg (Susan) Kiley and their children, Ben and Alison, Scott (Sarah) Kiley, and their children, Megan, Daniel and Lauren, and Kristen (Pete) Anderson, and their children Erin, Thomas and Will. His sister in law Judy Kiley. His nieces and nephews consist of: Cindy (Kett) Ferulli, Eric Kett, Kevin Kiley, Brian Kiley and Jeff Kiley. Bob was predeceased by his brothers: Roger and William Kiley and his brother in law Gil Kett.
Friends and family will gather on Friday September 13th in the Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday September 14th at 10:00 am in St. Pius X Catholic Church with Father James Farrell celebrating.
