Robert E. Armstrong

74, of Carmel, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2013. Bob was born on April 6, 1939 in Indianapolis to the late Paul W. and Mildred Armstrong. He was a graduate of Indiana University and a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran.

Bob worked for IBM over 30 years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of Carmel United Methodist Church, Carmel American Legion, VFW and Carmel Racquet Club. Bob was an avid golfer and member of Brookshire Golf Club.

Bob never met a stranger and had a positive impact on all those who knew him. His love and pride for his family, friends and Country were beyond measure!

Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Bob's life on Saturday, December 28. Calling will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the parlor at Carmel United Methodist Church. A memorial service to begin at 1:00 p.m. in the sanctuary.

Bob is survived by his wife of 48 years, Donna J.; children, R. Todd (Shannon) Armstrong and Dawn A. (David) Puck; grandchildren, Miles, Troy and Brooke Armstrong, Dylan and Meredith Puck; sisters, Anna Withered, Helen Davis, Doris Birch; brother, Paul Armstrong. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Neal, Lois King and John Armstrong.
