Ronald L. Burton

80, Indianapolis, passed away January 14, 2014. He was born November 26, 1933 at Indianapolis to the late Owen and Dorothy (Alberts) Burton. Ron married Barbara "Bobbie" Helfenberger July 2, 1954 at Indianapolis and who passed away June 10, 2011. His survivors include daughter Gayle (Dr. Gerardo) Reyes, Chicago, sons Dennis (Elizabeth) Burton, Boonville, MO, and Thomas Burton, Indianapolis; grandchildren Derek (Shannon) Burton, Maria and Isabela Reyes, Chase and Chad Burton; great grandchildren Connor and Layla Burton; sister Judy Hoyt, Martinsville. He had been employed as a sheet metal worker, retiring in 1995 from Snodgrass Sheet Metal. Ron was a 62 year member of Sheet Metal Workers Local 20 and had been a former secretary and was a previous member of Southport United Methodist Church. He was also a Navy Veteran having served on the USS Lake Champlain.

Services will be at 11:00A.M. Monday, January 20 at Sin gleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center with visitation 2:00-6:00 P.M., Sunday, January 19 at the Mortuary. Interment Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
