Roy Lee LaFollette
81, of Zionsville, died on June 14, 2013 at Robin Run Health Center with his wife, family members and friends at his bedside. He was born in Jay County on April 15, 1932 to Thurman H. and Lucile (Shauver) LaFollette. He married Harriette (Baumer) on September 6, 1953.
Roy graduated from Freetown HS and attended Purdue University, graduating in 1954 as a registered pharmacist. Roy served in the U.S. Army as a 1st lieutenant in 1955-1957 during the Korean War. After the service, he worked as a pharmacist from 1957 until his retirement in 2003. Roy was a member of New Hope Christian Church in Whitestown IN. He and Harriette have enjoyed camping trips, travel, and many varied hobby interests. He was also involved in community service in the Zionsville Lions Club.
Survivors include his wife, Harriette R. LaFollette; daughter, Sharon L. (Timothy) Baughman of Madisonville, KY; son, Charles A. "Chuck" (Janet) LaFollette of Lincoln, NE; son, Daniel "Dan" LaFollette of Zionsville; daughter, Karen LaFollette of Fort Myers, FL; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters who died as infants, and his sister, Betty (LaFollette) McClure.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, June 17, 2013 at Flanner and Buchanan-Zionsville . The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at New Hope Christian Church in Whitestown with visitation from 10 am until service time. Interment will follow at Zionsville Cemetery.
