William L. Moore Jr.
Passed April 1, 2013 from this world to be with his wife Eva (Finster) again after 64 years together. He was born January 17, 1919 in Indianapolis, was the only child of William L and Frances (Denney) Moore and married Eva L Finster on July 19, 1942. There are two children, Stephen who lives in Brown County and Janice, who lives in Indianapolis.
He graduated from Shortridge High School in 1937, received a BA degree in 1942 from Indiana University, and served as an Army Air Force communications officer at Prestwick, Scotland, London and Orly Field in France from 1942 to 1946.
He was a member of 1st Baptist Church, Millersville Lodge 126, Scottish Rite & Shriners. He drove a Washington Township school bus for 17 years; was a capacitor engineer for PR Mallory for 16 years. At night and on weekends, he worked as a motion picture projectionist at movie theaters around Indianapolis for 43 years. He retired at age 71.
Funeral service will be on Monday, April 8th at Noon in Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel , with calling hours from 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow, with military honors in Washington Park East.
