Jean F. Gaynor Jan. 7, 1916 - Feb. 7, 2013 Resident, Oakland/Concord Jean passed away peacefully after a long fulfilling life. She was born to Frances and John Gaynor in the small town of Malden in eastern Washington, along with four brothers and one sister, John, Roy, Bill, Timmy and Patricia. After graduating from Eastern Washington University she traveled extensively throughout Europe and taught school with the US Government. She located in Oakland where she graduated from Holy Names College and became a teacher for many years, primarily at Chabot Elementary. Jean is survived by her nieces and nephews, Lynn White, Kathy Rossi, Peggy Finney, Michel A. Gaynor, Mary Pryor, Ann Gaynor, Michael W. Gaynor and Patrick Gaynor and many great and great great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Corpus Christi Church, Piedmont, Saturday, April 6th, 9:30 am.
