John E Hubbird passed away peacefully on June 16, 2012 at the age of 80. He leaves behind his loving wife of 56 years, Dolores Hubbird. In addition to his wife, he leaves behind his only child, daughter Yvonne Adrian, son-in-law Jim Adrian and his most precious grandsons, Jeremy and Austin Adrian. He served the US Marines for 4 years during the Korean War. In 1954 he started working at Crown Zellerbach and in 1967 moved to the Art Department of the Flexible Packaging Division and then became the Division Engraving Coordinator in the Graphics Group where he retired in 2000. He was a skilled engraver, liked playing cribbage, poker, golf, fishing, watching sports and especially seeing different parts of the world. To those he cared for he treated them with a twinkle of humor, true respect, and a great deal of love.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, June 21st from 6:00 - 8:00 pm with a vigil at 7:00 pm at Holy Angels Funeral Center, 1051 Harder Rd., Hayward. Funeral Service at Holy Angels Funeral Center on Friday June 22nd at 11:00 am followed by burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hayward.
