Larry 68, of Castro Valley, Ca, gave up his fight with cancer on November 10, 2012 at the VA Hospital in Palo Alto, surrounded by his wife family.
Larry was born in Oakland, Ca to Mannie Fields and Florine Nobriga. He was one of 5 children. The family settled in Castro Valley, where he attended and graduated from Castro Valley High in 1962.
In 1968 he joined the Army serving until 1971 during the Vietnam War. He received Honorable Discharge and was awarded with many decorations,medals,badges commendations for his service.
Larry retired from the Carpenters Local Union 713
He is survived by his wife Barbara Fields, son Larry Fields Jr daughter Lisa Lannin her husband Kevin. Also many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He will be missed by his brothers Robert Nobriga, Steve Nobriga his wife Roberta, Sisters Diane Noble, Carol Fridfinnson husband Don. Also many nieces,nephews,cousins and friends.
Funeral Mass will be held at the All Saints Catholic Church 22824 Second St, Hayward, Ca. at 10:30 am on Tuesday November 27 followed by a procession bringing Larry to the Lone Tree Cemetery in Hayward to receive Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Surtec Adopt-a-Family @ 1880 N. MacArthur Dr., Tracy, Ca. 95376 or the All Saints Catholic Church.
