It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our loved one, Leo Forrest Eich, (Goose), 91, longtime Hayward, CA resident who passed away in his sleep at home on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the age of 91.
Leo was born in San Jose, CA in 1923 and was a lifelong resident of the San Francisco Bay Area. After serving in the US Navy during World War 2 as a Machinist 1st Class, Leo found work as a Machinist and then eventually moved on to open his own Bar business.
In his spare time, Leo would enjoy a leisurely game of golf every now and then as well as some fishing, he loved Raiders football and of course a little Keeno and Lotto playing (ok, maybe more than a" little" Keeno and Lotto playing).
He is survived by his wife Julie, his daughter Lucille and son-in-law Merv, son Leo and daughter-in-law Denise; sister-in-law Rita, Grandchildren Lance, Mark, Kevin, Leo, Harley, Lorrae, Joseph and Erica, nephew Greg as well as many great grandchildren.
Leo was preceded in death by his first wife Walterene (Wally), his two brothers Lincoln and Sheridon, son Robin, Grandson Aaron and nephew Gary.
A private witness burial will be held on Saturday, May 17 at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward, CA.
