Eric was born to William & Marion Anderson and grew up in Dover Plains, New York until he enlisted in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He served four tours in Vietnam on the USS Coral Sea. He married Mary Parkins of Castro Valley in 1969. Eric began his long career in construction in California as a heavy equipment operator and superintendent for both St. Francis Electric & Columbia Electric. He retired in 2007 moving to Reno. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Mary, his sisters, Christine Fairchild, Karen Dolan and Susan Anderson, his children Michael (Nicole) Anderson, Erica (Jim) Bower, grandchildren, Zachary, Ashley, Olivia and Michael Jr. and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed. A Rosary will be held at Waltons Funeral Home, 1745 Sullivan Lane, Sparks, NV at 7:00pm on Friday, September 6th. The funeral will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2900 N. McCarren Blvd. Sparks, NV at 1:00pm on Saturday September 7th.
