William James "Bill" FielderWilliam James "Bill" Fielder, III, 73 of Bluffton, SC died Friday, June 20, 2014. Mr. Fielder was born in Cordele, GA on December 19, 1940, the son of the late William James Fielder, Jr. and Ruth Mangham Barendsz. He was a graduate of the University of Florida where he earned a degree in Electrical Engineering. He remained an avid Florida Gator fan. He was also a veteran of the United States Navy, serving honorably during the beginning of the Vietnam War. He worked for many years as a self employed electrical designer. He is longtime resident of Bluffton. He was affiliated with the MENSA organization and was a member of the Church of the Cross. Mr. Fielder is survived by his wife of 38 years, Mary Fielder; children, Tiffany Fielder Monhollen (Robert) of Bluffton, SC, Elizabeth Cole Fielder (Janna Maughon) of Atlanta, GA, Lacy Holtzworth (Tom) of Gainesville, FL, Diane Lantz (Scott) of Savannah, GA, and Hunter Crider (Renee) of Charleston, SC; sisters, Virginia Sebring (Dave) and Mary Ruth Fielder, all of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Timothy Cole Monhollen, Tegan Blue Fielder-Maughon, Sealy Crider, Ashley Warren, Hunter Holtzworth, and Rose Holtzworth. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Oyster Street Yacht Club in care of Barry Turner at P.O.Box 2101 Bluffton, SC 29910
