Donna Loraine Gick, 65

Donna Loraine Gick, 65, of Brookston died at 8:30 am, Tuesday, August, 12, 2014 at IU Health Arnett after a 4 year battle with cancer.

She was born on May 16, 1949 in McArthur, Ohio to the late William Doyle Bullard and Charlene F. (Johnson) Bullard. She was a 1967 graduate of Benton Central High School and graduated with her Associate Degree in Nursing from Ivy Tech in Lafayette. She married the love of her life Frank L. Gick in Oxford on December 2, 1967, he survives.

Donna was a member of the Ladybugs Home Economics Club in Round Grove. She worked for the cardiac surgeons at Arnett Clinic and formerly as a bookkeeper and manager of the Montmorenci Co-Op. Donna loved working at the cardiac clinic and especially enjoyed her interaction with the patients. She said her job was her "calling."

She enjoyed traveling to Florida and vacationing as well as flowers and cooking. Above all, Donna cherished her time spent with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Frank L. Gick; 2 daughters, Amy Tolen (husband: Barry) of Otterbein, Jennifer Dawson (husband: Mark) of Plainfield; 3 brothers, Dennis and Terry Couts of Lafayette, Dana Couts of Brookston; and 6 grandchildren, Abbie, Caitlyn, Madison, Kennedy, Brock, and Avery Jo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Charlene (Johnson) Bullard, and a brother, Larry Couts.

Friends may call from 1 pm-5 pm, Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home, Brookston.

Funeral Service will be at 10 am, Monday, August 18, 2014 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Lelan McReynolds officiating.

Interment will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette.

Memorial contributions may be given in Donna's name to the Foundation.
