Irma E. Bedford, 93 of Lafayette, expired at IU Arnett Hospital on February 20, 2014. She was born October 13, 1920 in Lafayette. She was the daughter of Carl W. and Rosa R. Bedford, both of Lafayette. Mrs. Bulger graduated from Jefferson High School, attended Lafayette Business College and graduated from Minneapolis, Minnesota Business College in 1965.
Mrs. Bulger was a Purdue University employee for 20 years in the clerical department. She was a member of 2nd Baptist Church for more than 80 years and served as the president of the Women's Senior Missionary Society, church clerk, and President of the Senior Choir. She was an Avid sports fan and enjoyed watching football, basketball, playing cards, playing bingo at Jenks Rest Senior Center, going to monthly luncheons with the 10 "Sassy Seniors" of 2nd Baptist Church, and spending time with her family. A mother of three children; survived are a daughter, Joyce R. Lamberson, son, Martin K. Lamberson, both of Lafayette, son, William Lamberson Sr. (deceased). Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, William Jr., Tracey and Anthony Lamberson all of Arizona, Margaret Auguste (Guy) of New Jersey and Tina Arellanius of Lafayette and many great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 11am-12pm Tuesday March 4, 2014 at the Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, IN, 47909. A graveside service at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens will follow after the visitation. Donations can be made to the 2nd Baptist Church Building fund.
