Juanita Mae Taylor, 88

Juanita Mae Taylor, 88, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2014 in Mulberry.

Juanita was born November 30, 1925 in Lafayette to the late Carl and Lottie Fuqua Carter. She was a lifelong resident of Lafayette, where she attended Jefferson High School. Juanita married William Taylor the day after Christmas in 1945. The couple was married over 50 years until William's death in 2007. She worked for Purdue University for 23 years. Juanita enjoyed needle work, traveling, working with her husband, gardening, dancing with her grand babies, and most of all, spending time with her family. In addition, Juanita was a proud breast cancer survivor and was passionate about helping others with cancer.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by a daughter, Linda Ruch of Brooksville, Florida, son, Timothy (Carla) Taylor of Cutler, Indiana; sister, Phyllis Jo Carter of Bardstown, Kentucky; grandchildren, Travis (Debbie) Ramsey, Penny (Chris) Neal, Brandon (Nichole) Bolinger, Jessie Taylor and Austin (Megan) Taylor; great grandchildren, Misty, Josh, Tanner, Trevor, Haley, Tagg, and Emma Jane, Ella Jane, and Zack; great-great grandchildren, Bryce, Baylee, Brody, Reganne, and Keigan.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, five sisters, three brothers, and a great-grandson, Colton.

Visitation will take place from 5 to 8 PM, Wednesday September 3, 2014 at Hippensteel Funeral Home, 822 North Ninth Street, Lafayette. Funeral Services will follow on Thursday, 10:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette. Memorial contributions may be directed to the .
