Pauline Mae Peterson Lantz, 75

Pauline Mae Peterson Lantz, 75, of Flora, died Friday, Nov 9, 2012, at 11:55 a.m. at IU Health Arnett in Lafayette. She had been a patient there for eight days.

She was born Mar 15, 1937, in Lafayette, to the late Larry and Dorothy Hayes Peterson. She was a 1955 graduate of Flora High School, and received her beautician degree from Wrights Beauty College in Logansport. She operated a beauty shop for several years in Flora, and in her home. She also worked at Essex Wire-Flora, and retired from Small Parts-Logansport, in 1999. She was very active with her sorority Delta Theta Chi, and was involved with Carroll County Special Olympics.

She enjoyed cooking, collecting cook books, crafts and being on the water for a boat ride. She was an avid fan of the LA Lakers basketball team. She dearly loved her son, and all of her family and many friends.

Surviving is a son, Larry and Diane Lantz, of Flora; two sisters, Barbara and Tom Parkhurst, of Kokomo and Margaret and John Grubb, of Monticello; two grandchildren, Angela Deel, of Bloomington and Brent and Jessica Deel, of Camden; four great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by a sister Edith Helvie.

Friends may call Monday 12 p.m. until her funeral at 3 p.m. at Baker-Abbott Funeral Home of Flora; the Rev. Larry DeVos officiating. Burial at Maple Lawn Cemetery, of Flora. Delta Theta Chi memorial service at 2:30 p.m.
