Raymond L. Triplett

Raymond L. Triplett, 45, of Lafayette, passed away at home at 7:57 p.m. on Monday, January 20, 2014. He was the son of Curtis R. Triplett of Dayton, IN and Sharon J. (Beams) Hollingsworth of Boswell, IN. Raymond had previously resided in Kansas, Missouri, California, Florida and Virginia.

He served as a Gunners' Mate Missiles in the U.S. Navy for 16 years before being honorably discharged due to health reasons. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, playing pool and poker and helping his father work on old houses. He was a former member of the VFW in Parsons, Kansas.

Surviving with his parents are his three sons, Mathew R. Triplett of Tarboro, NC, and twins, Brandon Triplett of Tarboro, NC and Greggory Triplett of Wytheville, Virginia; his sister, Lori L. VanDyne (husband, Donald) of Edna, KS; and two grandchildren, Aydon C. and Nevaeh D. Triplett.

Memorial visitation from 2-4 p.m. on Monday, January 27, 2014 at Hippensteel Funeral Home with Military honors by the VFW.
