Richard C. "Stoney" Stonebraker, 74

Richard C. "Stoney" Stonebraker, 74, of Flora, died Thurs-June 13, 2013 at 6:50pm, at St. Elizabeth Central Hospital-Laf. He had been a patient there since Tues., and in ill health since Jan. of this year. He was born Apr. 2, 1939 in Flora, to the late Carl Stonebraker, and Ruth Moore Gordon. His marriage was to Donna M. Lintner, in Laf., on Aug 3, 1979, and she survives. He was a 1957 graduate of Flora High School. He worked for 21 years at Fairfield Manufacturing-Laf, retiring in 2001, then worked for NAPA on N. 9th St., Laf, for a while. He enjoyed Purdue University men's and women's basketball, and was a former member of the John Purdue Club. He dearly loved his grandchildren, and loved attending their sporting events. He enjoyed his flower gardens, landscaping, and yard work. He loved to help his father in law farm, and enjoyed working in the hog barns. He loved his two dogs Sasha & Gracie. Surviving: his wife Donna M. Stonebraker of Flora; daughter: Dawn & Kevin Gustafson of Laf; Father/mother in law: Charles & Rose Mary Lintner of Laf; sons: Greg & Tracy Stonebraker of Avon, IL & Glenn Stonebraker of Rossville; stepson: Jaron Lintner of Laf; brother: Jeff & Theresa Stonebraker of Laf; 2 special friends: Bill Kearns & Ed Nelson; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren survive. Preceded in death by a son & daughter in law: Gary & Trina Stonebraker. Services: Friends may call Tuesday from 11am until his funeral at 1pm, at Baker-Abbott Funeral Home, Flora. Pastor Joseph Park officiating. Burial at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Flora.
