Robert William Morgan, Jr., 71

Robert William Morgan, Jr., 71, of Brookston, died at 11:58 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2013 at his residence.

He was born December 21, 1941, in Battle Ground to the late Robert Morgan, Sr. and Marie (Wacker) Morgan and was a 1960 graduate of Battle Ground High School.

His marriage was to Linda Sue Haley on August 8, 1992, in Battle Ground. She survives.

Mr. Morgan was a member of the Tippecanoe Steam and Gas Power Association. He worked as a supervisor in food services at Purdue University for 28 years. Bob had a strong interest in farming and tractors, being a farmer his entire life.

Bob enjoyed playing cards, fishing, mushroom hunting and living in the country with his dogs and cat.

Surviving with his wife are his children, William Morgan (wife: Jody) of Brookston, Keith Morgan (wife: Pat) of Brookston, Jeff Morgan (companion: Tammy) of Brookston and Rhonda Morgan of Americus; step-children, Heather Bothof (husband: Tyron) of West Lafayette and Anthony Cruz of Carmel and two sisters, Helen Hutton (husband: Dave) of California; and Donna Fowler (husband: Roger) of West Lafayette.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Ruth Hanaway and Norma Sterrett.

Bob loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren Kyle, Katie, Will, Arielle, and Weston and his step-grandchildren, Zac, William, Tristan, Ashlynn, Catalina, Cody and Brandon.

Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston. Funeral service 10 a.m. Monday, April 22, 2013 also at the funeral home; Rev. Dr. Lelan D. McReynolds to officiate. Interment to follow in Battle Ground Cemetery.
