Feiereisen, Agnes Agnes Feiereisen (nee Toporski) began her new life with The Lord on October 10, 2013, at the age of 90. She was born to parents Frank and Julia on March 13, 1923 in Starks, WI. She grew up in Milwaukee and later attended the University of Wisconsin - Madison. There, she met the love of her life, Jim Feiereisen, over a ping pong table at the University's Newman Center. Agnes and Jim married on June 25, 1949 and enjoyed 64 years together. Agnes will meet several loved ones in Heaven her parents, her sister Helen Servis, daughter Barbara Nissen and son-in-law Kevin Buckley. Remaining here on earth are her beloved husband and lifelong partner Jim, sisters Florence (Robert) Boley and Dorothy (the late Daniel) Richardson, her brother-in-law Bill (the late Peg) Feiereisen, daughters Pauline (Ken) Judy and Ann (the late Kevin) Buckley, son Jim (Joan) Feiereisen and son-in-law Jerry (the late Barbara) Nissen. Also carrying on her legacy are grandchildren Paul Judy, Chris (Jennie) Buckley, Shailagh (Brandon) Merrill, Ashley (fiancé Bill Freeburn) Buckley, Caitlin (Andy) Klister and Chris (fiancée Jordynn Ligocki) Feiereisen and great-grandchildren RaeAnna, Spencer, Wyatt Fox, Lailagh and Brandon Ryker Merrill, Reilly Buckley and Natalie Klister. Agnes was an incredible woman a role model and inspiration for all who knew her. As a young woman she flew planes for the Civil Air Patrol and served her country as one of the Navy's WAVES. She earned a degree in math education and was a substitute teacher. She later became a stained glass artist, took classes in computer programming and sewed beautiful costumes for the Dominican High School theater department. She successfully battled two bouts of breast cancer and modeled fashions for mastectomy patients. Above all, her adventurous spirit, unwavering faith and unflagging optimism touched all around her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Rosary Church, 2011 N. Oakland Avenue, Milwaukee on Thursday, October 17 at 4:30 PM; the Very Reverend Timothy Kitzke presiding. In lieu of flowers, Memorials appreciated to the Milwaukee Catholic Home Courtyard Raised Garden Project, 2330 N. Prospect Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53211. The family wishes to thank the dedicated, compassionate caregivers at the Milwaukee Catholic Home and Vitas Hospice.
