Chester Wieczorek Notice
Wieczorek, Chester Lt. Col. Of West Allis. Born to eternal rest on May 11, 2014, at the age of 81. Chester was born and was a survivor of WWII in Poland. He was the loving husband of Wanda (nee Steies). Beloved father of Patricia Wieczorek (John), Irene (Greg) Scott, Stephen (Kris) Wieczorek, Anthony (Royce) Wieczorek and Paul Wieczorek. Stepfather of Rick Rittenhouse, Cindy Baker and Becky Rittenhouse. Dear brother of Christina (Jim) Mayou of Marinette, WI, Henry Wieceorek of New Jersey and the late Irene Meyer. Further survived by his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Special thanks to the caregivers of Bright Star for their love and compassion. Chester was proud of his 27 years of service in the Army Reserve at the V.A.. He was a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army and served in the M.A.S.H. unit during the Korean Exchange. Among other honors, he was the recipient of the Medal of Courage and two Purple Hearts. Visitation will be held Wednesday at Schaff Funeral Home 4:00PM until time of service, 7:00PM. The burial and full military honors will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, in Union Grove, on Thursday at 9:00AM. Please meet at the cemetery. If needed, maps will be provided at the funeral home.
